DESCRIPTION:Twenty years after their initial discovery\, the nature of sup
 er-Earths and sub-Neptunes remains largely unknown. In this talk\, I will 
 discuss recent work addressing their interior compositions and formation p
 athways. In particular\, I will show how the detection of young transiting
  exoplanets may provide a route to revealing their interior compositions.
