DESCRIPTION:We define a dynamic model of random networks\, where new verti
 ces are  connected to old ones with a probability proportional to a nonlin
 ear function of their degree. Our main interest is in the phase transition
 s occuring when we vary the attachment function and move from weak to stro
 ng preferential attachment.\nProperties discussed include the degree distr
 ibution\, existence of a hub and clustering. This is joint work with Steff
 en Dereich (Marburg).\n
