DESCRIPTION:Restoration can play an important role in addressing the chall
 enges of biodiversity loss\, land degradation and climate change while sup
 porting ecosystem services and improving overall human well-being. The thr
 ee primary barriers to scaling up restoration in Europe were identified as
  funding\, conflicting stakeholder interests\, and the absence of an enabl
 ing policy environment that prioritises restoration. To address these key 
 barriers\, the Convening for Restoration project (2023-2025)\, funded by t
 he Endangered Landscapes and Seascapes Programme\, and implemented by a co
 nsortium comprising of UNEP-WCMC\, BirdLife International and RSPB\, aimed
  to convene diverse stakeholders focused on stakeholder engagement\, unloc
 king funding for restoration\, and an enabling policy environment for rest
 oration.\n\nWith the project wrapping up at the end of July 2025\, the pro
 ject team are looking forward to sharing the key insights from not just th
 e project but also the experience of convening diverse groups of stakehold
 ers across academia\, restoration practitioners\, NGOs\, policy and financ
