DESCRIPTION:A one-day Colloquium on the Cultural Impact of Darwin and Darw
 inism in Europe will be held at Clare Hall\, Cambridge\, on Friday 12 Marc
 h 2010\, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. \n\nOrganized by the Research Project on th
 e Reception of British and Irish Authors in Europe\, the Colloquium will c
 onsist of a series of 15-minute papers followed by short discussion. It bu
 ilds on the success of the Darwin in Europe Colloquium held last year at C
 hrist's College. \n\nThe event will act as a forum for contributions to a 
 third volume of _The Reception of Charles Darwin in Europe_ (Continuum)\, 
 focusing on Darwin's cultural and literary reception.\n\nThe range of topi
