DESCRIPTION:Benjamini\, Schramm and Tim&aacute\;r quantified how well-conn
ected an infinite graph is in terms of its "separation profile"\, where on
e considers the cut size of finite subgraphs.&nbsp\; Instead of cut size o
ne can use the spectral gap of the graph p-Laplacian to measure the connec
tivity of finite subgraphs\, and these "p-Poincar&eacute\; profiles" were
used in previous work with Hume and Tessera to show a variety of non-embed
ding results between groups.&nbsp\; I'll mainly talk about current work wi
th Hume where we further study the connection between these profiles and t
he conformal dimension of the boundary at infinity of certain Gromov hyper
 bolic groups.
