DESCRIPTION:Standing waves play an important role in many branches of phys
 ics. In general relativity\, the nonlinearity of the Einstein equations ma
 kes the analysis challenging\, and the nature of standing gravitational wa
 ves remains incompletely understood. In this talk\, I will present recent 
 developments on this topic.
