 hosen two talks on this theme :\n\nAmy Smith talks about how she used stud
 ents at MIT to to develop alternative fuels to reduce deforestation and re
 spiratory diseases caused by the use of wood biomass for cooking.\n\nCat L
 aine talks about how she combines the ideas behind international developme
 nt and venture capital to help foster local businesses that meet the needs
  of local populations.\n\nTED Chat is an opportunity for thought provoking
  discussion on a wide range of topics. It is open to all and no prior know
 ledge is required.\n\nThe format is that we'll watch one of the TED Talks\
 , and then there will be an opportunity for group discussion. Usually we'l
