 egies of migrants. This conversation will explore the complex relations be
 tween\, on the one hand\, migration and\, on the other\, education as soci
 al mobility-providing tools\, examining the topic generally\, and specific
 ally in relation to Pakistani migrants\, their transnational communities a
 nd educational strategies. The transnational perspective is crucial to und
 erstanding how migrant families conceive their host society and the ‘nat
 ional’ schooling system\, and how they manage within these. \n
