DESCRIPTION:For our welcome event this year\, we are pleased to invite Sac
 ha Coward to talk about his book\, 'Queer as Folklore: The Hidden Queer Hi
 story of Myths and Monsters'.\n\n\nSacha is a freelance museum professiona
 l who has worked at local\, national and international museums and galleri
 es. He has produced events\, managed educational programmes\, developed co
 nsultation and built gallery interactives and interpretation.\n\n\nQueer a
 s Folklore takes readers across centuries and continents to reveal the uns
 ung heroes and villains of storytelling\, magic and fantasy. Featuring ima
 ges from archives\, galleries and museums around the world\, each chapter 
 investigates the queer history of different mythic and folkloric character
 s\, both old and new.\n\n\nCome along and meet staff from across the Unive
 rsity and affiliated institutions. Sacha will be signing copies of the boo
