DESCRIPTION:Rendered imagery is presented to us daily. Special effects in 
 movies\, video games\, scientific visualizations\, and marketing catalogs 
 all often rely on images generated through computer graphics. However\, wi
 th all the possibilities that rendering offers come also a plethora of cha
 llenges. The topics of this talk include ways of evaluating the visual err
 ors caused when some of those challenges are not completely overcome\, as 
 well as ways to improve on the visual experience observers have when viewi
 ng rendered content. The discussion will touch on high frame rate renderin
 g\, recoloring for color deficient observers\, and image quality assessmen
 t. This will all be presented from a personal perspective\, including expl
 anations of the thinking process that were present during development of t
