DESCRIPTION:This talk presents an experimental–numerical framework for i
 nvestigating failure in adhesively bonded lightweight structures subjected
  to extreme mechanical environments. I will outline developments in high r
 ate testing\, together with data acquisition methods that enable predictiv
 e modelling of interface behaviour. Applications ranging from coupon level
  adhesive tests to bonded ballistic plates demonstrate how these methods t
 ranslate across scales.
