DESCRIPTION:*Coded Chimera: exploring relationships between sculptural for
m making and biological morphogenesis through computer modeling* is an AHR
C funded research project. I look at features of biological evolution and
propose analogies with the development of sculptural form. \n\n3D digital
modeling is a feature of my sculptural practice and my concern has been to
embody digital features in material form. The continuous speculation on t
he relation between the virtual and the actual reflects on how the compute
r expands our traditional concepts of the tool and methods of production.\
n\nThe interaction of the biological and the computational in the explorat
ion of form may lead to aesthetic judgment being played out at a different
  register.
