  0\, 0)\;"> on April 27th\, 5-6.30pm in The Manatee Room\, David Attenboro
 ugh Building. The Handbook is a landmark volume in the field\, and it char
 ts important new shifts in how political ecology is theorised and practise
 d.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span style="background-color: rgb(255\, 255\, 
 255)\; color: rgb(0\, 0\, 0)\;">We are lucky enough to have two of the edi
 tors joining us\, </span><strong style="background-color: rgb(255\, 255\, 
 255)\; color: rgb(0\, 0\, 0)\;">Dr Jessica Hope</strong><span style="backg
 round-color: rgb(255\, 255\, 255)\; color: rgb(0\, 0\, 0)\;"> and </span><
 strong style="background-color: rgb(255\, 255\, 255)\; color: rgb(0\, 0\, 
 0)\;">Dr Elia Apostolopoulou</strong><span style="background-color: rgb(25
 5\, 255\, 255)\; color: rgb(0\, 0\, 0)\;">\, who will introduce the Handbo
 ok to the audience. We will then have three discussants sharing their thou
 ghts on the volume. First </span><strong style="background-color: rgb(255\
 , 255\, 255)\; color: rgb(0\, 0\, 0)\;">Professor Melissa Leach</strong><s
 pan style="background-color: rgb(255\, 255\, 255)\; color: rgb(0\, 0\, 0)\
 ;">\, Executive Director of the Cambridge Conservation Initiative\, and me
 mber of the Department of Anthropology\, will share her perspective. Melis
 sa’s work has been influential in the field for many years\, and we are 
 excited to have her join us. We will then hear from </span><strong style="
 background-color: rgb(255\, 255\, 255)\; color: rgb(0\, 0\, 0)\;">Dr Victo
 ria Maguire-Rajpaul</strong><span style="background-color: rgb(255\, 255\,
  255)\; color: rgb(0\, 0\, 0)\;">\, Angia Ruskin\, an ECR whose work\, whi
 ch engages strongly in decolonial and academic activist perspectives\, und
 erlines many of the new directions the field is taking. Lastly\, we will b
 e hearing from </span><strong style="background-color: rgb(255\, 255\, 255
 )\; color: rgb(0\, 0\, 0)\;">Dr Kapil Yadav</strong><span style="backgroun
 d-color: rgb(255\, 255\, 255)\; color: rgb(0\, 0\, 0)\;">\, Royal Holloway
 . Kapil has contributed a chapter to the volume\, and will talk about his 
 experience as a young scholar in the field. We will then have an extended 
 audience discussion\, which all are encouraged to partake in!</span></p><p
