DESCRIPTION:\nProfessor Fells  has been science adviser to the World Energ
 y Council and special adviser to select committees of both the House of Lo
 rds and the House of Commons as well as serving on several Cabinet and Res
 earch Council committees. He is an energy adviser to the European Union an
 d European Parliament\, has advised a number of Foreign Governments on ene
 rgy policy and is a consultant to various multi-national companies. He has
  made over 500 television and radio programmes. His honours include  the M
 ichael Faraday Medal and prize from the Royal Society\,  the Melchett Meda
 l of the Energy Institute\, and the John Collier Medal of the Institution 
 of Chemical Engineers. He was awarded a CBE in June 2000 and is a fellow o
 f the Royal Society. \n\n
