DESCRIPTION:Digitally stored and processed audio is now ubiquitous yet\, s
 adly\, the absolute quality often leaves a lot to be desired\, especially 
 in the consumer environment. We shall examine the criteria for both "high 
 quality" and "sufficiently good" in terms of music reproduction and storag
 e in the home. This will include some practical demonstrations of what can
  be achieved with modern hi-fi equipment\, both static and portable.
