DESCRIPTION:It is well established that stars form through the collapse of
dense cores within molecular clouds. However\, the conditions under which
this happens\nare still the subject of intense researches. Particularly d
ebatted is the question of the disk formation. While in purely hydrodynami
cal cases\,\nmassive disks tend to form early and fragment quickly\, the s
ituation appears to be more complex in the magnetized cases. Indeed\, vari
ous teams have\nconcluded that even for modest values of the magnetic inte
nsity\, magnetic braking is sufficiently efficient to prevent disk formati
on. In the seminar\, I will first give an introduction to this problem and
then review\nthe various solutions\, which have been proposed and are sti
 ll under investigation.\n
