DESCRIPTION:PowellSnakes (PwS) is a Bayesian detection methodology aimed a
t compact objects\, whose principal development goal has been formal corre
ctness and optimal use of all the available information in a consistent un
ified framework.\nPwS has been selected and successfully employed by the P
lanck consortium in several of their official products\, namely the point
source and SZ cluster catalogues of the Early Release Compact Source Catal
 ogue (ERCSC).
