DESCRIPTION:The Herschel Virgo Cluster Survey (HeViCS) covered a continuou
s area of 60 square degrees of the Virgo cluster in 286 hours of Herschel
observing time. Making use of both PACS and Spire maps of almost the whol
e cluster\, maps have been made at wavelengths from 100-500 micron. This
survey provides a blind survey of the dust in galaxies in the cluster envi
ronment (free of the effects of selection at other wavelengths). I will g
ive a summary of the main results obtained so far relating to 1) dust insi
de galaxies\, 2) dust outside galaxies\, and 3) dust survival times.
