DESCRIPTION:Heidi Lovelock\, Section Manager at TWI will present an overvi
 ew of the current research topics being addressed in the thermal spray and
  cold spray process groups\, and will touch on TWI’s future ambitions as
  regards establishing new coating process capabilities.\n\nTopics addresse
 d will range from photocatalytic coatings for solar water-splitting device
 s\, to novel coating compositions for protecting wave and tidal energy gen
 eration devices from the effects of corrosion and biofouling. \n\nThe capa
 bilities of TWI’s new technology for the thermal spray coating of compos
 ites (CompoSurf™) will also be described.  \n
