DESCRIPTION:Barbara's talk will cover firstly how she got the job at Googl
 e\, and then she will walk you through what her day-to-day responsibilitie
 s are\, how Google views product quality and what tools are used to build\
 nand safeguard this quality. One tool discussed in more detail will be Web
 driver\, a framework for automating browser tests.\n\nBio: Barbara has bee
 n working for Google as a Software Engineer in Test\, improving the qualit
 y of the AdSense product. She graduated from the University of Edinburgh w
 ith a first class BSc in computer science\, after which she did an interns
 hip for Google as a Software Engineer. She returned to Edinburgh Universit
 y to acquire an MSc in artificial intelligence\, and was offered a full-ti
 me position at Google soon after.
