DESCRIPTION:The session will present the theoretical model for technology
intelligence\ndeveloped by the Centre for Technology Management at the Uni
versity of\nCambridge. The model has defined a coherent approach for analy
sing TI\nactivities\, which is of benefit to managers in manufacturing and
service\nindustries in the development and improvement of intelligence ac
tivities.\nPractical examples of what companies do with regards to intelli
gence\nactivities will illustrate how the model can be used.\n\n\n\nLetizi
a Mortara is a Research Associate at the Centre for Technology\nManagement
at the Institute of Manufacturing\, University of Cambridge (UK).\nHer cu
rrent research interests include Open Innovation and Technology\nIntellige
nce. Letizia has been investigating technology intelligence since\n2005 in
collaboration with academic colleagues and industrial partners\, to\nesta
blish the underlying principles of effective TI systems. Her work led to\n
the publication of several academic articles\, practitioners' guides and t
he\norganisation of workshops and communities of practitioners.\nLetizia h
as a first degree in Industrial Chemistry from the University of\nBologna
