DESCRIPTION:Heritage champion Loyd Grossman\, a strong supporter of the Co
 llege\, will be visiting Lucy Cavendish to give a talk on 'Our Endangered 
 Heritage: A National Asset at Risk'\, an issue that he cares about deeply.
 \n\nWell-known for his career as a television gastronome and presenter of 
 cookery programmes\, Loyd is also heavily involved in a huge amount of cha
 rity work\, particularly around the themes of heritage and conservation. H
 e is particularly associated with the work of museums in the UK\, being Ch
 airman of the Heritage Alliance\, the Blue Plaques Panel\, the Churches Co
 nservation Trust\, the Campaign for Museums\, the Public Monuments and Scu
 lpture Association\, National Museums Liverpool\, the vice-chair of the Li
 verpool Culture Company and a trustee of St Deiniol's Library.\n\nThis tal
 k is one of a programme of events run by Lucy Cavendish College which are 
 open to the public\, and also forms one of the College's Women's Word even
 ts for 2012 - the annual festival of voices and creativity. Places are lim
