DESCRIPTION:Mel will show how tablets/smartphones can be used to change li
 ves. She aims to inspire you into action by raising awareness of the lives
  of older people and people with disabilities and how tablets and smartpho
 nes could solve some of their everyday challenges. She will share stories 
 and real life examples\, allowing you to learn from the people themselves.
 \nDiscussion and audience involvement will be encouraged\, promoting an ac
 tive evening of powerful conversation. \n\n*About Mel Findlater*\n\nMel is
  a local geek for social good. She gets ridiculously excited about the pos
 sibilities that  technology has to change lives\, especially with people w
 ith disabilities and older people. She has a background in working with yo
 ung people\, people with disabilities\, older people and in the voluntary 
 sector. She spends most of her days supporting people to learn to use tabl
 ets and smartphones\, while enthusiastically helping The You Can Hub to tu
 rn amazing ideas for social good into a reality.  \n\nShe's keen to share 
 her knowledge\, skills and passion with others\, especially those who are
