DESCRIPTION:Cryptography has become an increasingly important subject\, no
t only for cryptographers but also for computer engineers. Having been inv
olved for many years in research and industrial consultation in cryptograp
hy and its practical applications\, I have become very aware of the huge g
ap between the cryptographer's and the engineer's point of view regarding
cryptography. In this talk\, I would like to share my experiences with the
workshop participants\, and will take cryptographic functionalities of a
TPM (trusted platform module)\, as an interesting example\, to discuss how
to create a healthy life circle in cryptography. This will include a smoo
th link between academic research\, international standards\, industrial p
 roducts and real usages.\n
