DESCRIPTION:Our recent joint work with Andrzej Rostworowski  on nonlinear\
 nevolution of a weakly perturbed anti-de Sitter (AdS) space indicates\ntha
 t AdS is unstable under arbitrarily small perturbations. We\nconjectured t
 hat this instability is due to the resonant mode mixing\nwhich transfers e
 nergy from low to high frequencies until eventually an\napparent horizon f
 orms. In my talk I will present numerical\, analytical\nand heuristic  evi
 dence supporting this conjecture.
