DESCRIPTION:Marianne Majerus is one of the world’s finest garden photogr
 aphers. She is a regular contributor to many national and international pu
 blications. She is a member of the RHS Photographic Committee and of the P
 rofessional Garden Photographers Association. She has won numerous awards 
 for her work: in 2011 she was announced ‘Garden Photographer of the Year
 ’ by the British Garden Media Guild. In 2011 Marianne also won first pri
 ze in the 'Garden Views’ category of the International Garden Photograph
 er of the Year Award. In 2010 Marianne was named 'International Garden Pho
 tographer of the Year'.\n\nMarianne has also illustrated over 200 books. H
 er most recent title with Françoise Maas\, “Die geheimen Gärten Luxemb
 urgs” won the 2011 Luxembourg Book Prize in the 'Beaux Livres' category.
  The same book was also a finalist in the 2011 Garden Media Guild 'Book Ph
 otographer of the Year' category.\n\nThis talk is one of a programme of fr
 ee events run by Lucy Cavendish College which are open to the      public.
