DESCRIPTION:In the study of the heat transfer in the Boltzmann theory\, th
 e\nbasic problem is to construct solutions to the steady problem for the\n
 Boltzmann equation in a general bounded domain with diffuse reflection\nbo
 undary conditions corresponding to a non-isothermal temperature of the\nwa
 ll. We discuss about the recent development of theory to characterize\nsuc
 h a solution mathematically. As an application of the theory combining\nwi
 th available numerical simulations\, we predict the break-down of the\nFou
 rier law in the kinetic regime. This is a joint work with Esposito\, Guo\,
 \nMarra In the talk we will start from basic stuffs and the preprint is\na
 vailable in ARXIV ( http://arxiv.org/abs/1111.5843 ).
