DESCRIPTION:The out-of-equilibrium physics of correlated electrons is attr
acting a\nlot of interest\, motivated by new experimental realizations in\
nnon-linear transport in devices\, heterostructures and cold atoms. In\nth
is talk\, I will focus on the Hubbard-U model driven out of\nequilibrium b
 y a constant electric field E. I will briefly explain how\none can solve t
he finite-U finite-E problem directly in the steady\nstate (bypassing the
transient dynamics) by means of a new dynamical\nmean-field theory. Afterw
ards\, I will mainly discuss the fate of the\nMott physics in the non-line
ar (strong E) regime by detailing two key\nfeatures:\n - the dimensional c
rossover towards a lower dimensional system\;\n - the dielectric breakdown
  of the Mott insulator.\n\nReferences:\n\n C. Aron\, G. Kotliar\, C. Weber
