DESCRIPTION:I will present recent results which try to combine moduli stab
 ilisation and chiral model building both in the geometric regime and at th
 e quiver locus within a fully consistent type IIB string compactification 
 described in terms of toric geometry. I will also briefly discuss some cos
 mological applications and a new way to get dS vacuua in a manifestly supe
 rsymmetric effective action.\n\n
