DESCRIPTION:Anti-branes in the deformed conifold are used for example to c
 onstruct de Sitter vacua. In the probe approximation\, they lead to a meta
 stable state. I will present work done over the last three years to go bey
 ond the probe approximation by taking into account the back-reaction of th
 e anti-branes. To be\, or not to be (a metastable state)\, that is the que
 stion. We are pinning down the answer. \n\n
