DESCRIPTION:Analysis of medical images is essential in modern medicine. Wi
 th the increasing amount of patient data\, new challenges and opportunitie
 s arise for different phases of the clinical routine\, such as diagnosis\,
  treatment and monitoring.\nThe InnerEye research project focuses on the a
 utomatic analysis of patients' medical images. It uses state of the art ma
 chine learning techniques for the:\n\n•	automatic delineation and measur
 ement of healthy anatomy and anomalies\;\n•	robust registration for moni
 toring disease progression\;\n•	semantic navigation and visualization fo
 r improved clinical workflow\;\n•	development of natural user interfaces
  for medical practitioners.\n\nOur mission is to advance the state of the 
 art in machine learning and marry it with medical expertise\, with applica
 tion in computer-aided diagnosis\, personalized medicine and efficient dat
 a management. Some of this technology is now incorporated within the Micro
 soft Amalga Unified Intelligence System.
