DESCRIPTION:Motion of the retinal image during eye movements produces less
  perceived motion blur than during fixation\, a difference that can be att
 ributed to the influence of extra-retinal eye-movement signals. The reduct
 ion of perceived motion blur during eye movement is accompanied by functio
 nal improvements in vision.
