DESCRIPTION:In recent years there has been much interest in the potential 
 use of reactive metal powders as novel energetic materials. This has resul
 ted in two research projects undertaken in the fracture and shock physics 
 group. The colloquium will give a brief overview of the area of study and 
 the group’s contribution to it.
