DESCRIPTION:Eileen Joyce is a Professor of Neuropsychiatry at The Institut
 e of Neurology\, University College London. She is primarily interested in
  the neural basis of schizophrenia.  Her research focuses on neurocognitiv
 e dysfunction in the early stages of schizophrenia\, and how it relates to
  both brain structural changes and clinical manifestations of the disorder
 . Professor Joyce received a degree in psychology from the University of C
 ambridge where she also completed her PhD in dopamine psychopharmacology. 
  She then went on to study medicine at Cambridge and trained in psychiatry
  at the Maudsley Hospital.  She is currently Chairman of the British Neuro
 psychiatry Association.
