DESCRIPTION:Representation zeta functions are Dirichlet series whose\nn-th
  coefficient is the number of irreducible n-dimensional\nrepresentations o
 f a given group\, assuming that this number is finite.\nA variant of this 
 is the zeta functions of nilpotent finitely\ngenerated torsion-free groups
  which count representations up to\none-dimensional twists. I will give a 
 survey of recent results about\nrepresentation zeta functions of arithmeti
 c\, compact p-adic and\nnilpotent groups.
