SUMMARY:Finite-Reynolds number effects and interfacial phenomena due to s
olid particles - Lorenzo Botto\, Imperial College (London)

DESCRIPTION:In this talk\, I will illustrate my research by focusing on tw
o problems: the hydrodynamics of multiple finite-size particles suspended
in flows with inertia and capillary interactions between anisotropic collo
ids embedded in fluid-fluid interfaces. These problems are studied by usin
g simulations in which the flow disturbance and interface distortion about
each particle are fully resolved. Comparison with experimental data will
 also be provided.
