DESCRIPTION:For the last talk of the term PhD student\, Paola Cognigni\, w
 ill be talking about the fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster and why it has 
 proved such a successful model organism in biology.\n\nScientists and non 
 scientists alike should be able to enjoy this talk\, and whatever your pri
 or knowledge may be you're bound to take something away: perhaps you'll le
 arn something interesting about the sex lives of flies\, or perhaps you'll
  just be overwhelmed by the sheer awesomeness of biology.\n\nAs with all o
 ut talks there will be an abundance of tea\, coffee\, wine\, and nibbles. 
 Entry is free for Stokes members and just £1 for non-members.
