DESCRIPTION:Searches for new physics at the Large Hadron Collider typicall
y rely\non perturbative QCD calculations to correctly describe the signal
 and\nbackground kinematics. These searches\, however\, tend to apply\nstri
ngent analysis cuts and the perturbative QCD calculations can be\npushed i
nto regions of phase space in which they are no longer viable.\nWhere cuts
are imposed on additional quark or gluon radiation from the\nprocess of i
nterest\, fixed order calculations will typically break\ndown as higher or
der corrections to the cross-section become very\nlarge. Measurements sens
itive to this additional QCD radiation are\ntherefore important in helping
future theoretical tools to provide\nbetter calculations\, with smaller u
 ncertainties.\n
