DESCRIPTION:In this talk I will discuss general properties of the stress t
 ensor two-point function of a quantum field in a maximally symmetric space
 time. Such a two-point function tells us about how the metric fluctuations
  are affected by the presence of the field. I will also give explicit resu
 lts for non-self-interacting scalar fields in de Sitter spacetime\, and co
 mment on the subtleties arising in the massless case.
