 ium on Connectivity and the Diffusion of Power. \n\nAbout Eric Schmidt \n\
 nAs executive chairman of Google\, Eric Schmidt is responsible for the ext
 ernal matters of Google as well as advising the CEO and senior leadership.
  From 2001-2011\, he served as Google’s chief executive officer\, overse
 eing the company’s technical and business strategy alongside founders Se
 rgey Brin and Larry Page.\n\nPrior to joining Google\, Eric was the chairm
 an and CEO of Novell and chief technology officer at Sun Microsystems\, In
 c. Previously\, he served on the research staff at Xerox Palo Alto Researc
 h Center (PARC)\, Bell Laboratories and Zilog. He holds a bachelor’s deg
 ree in electrical engineering from Princeton University as well as a maste
 r’s degree and Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Californ
