DESCRIPTION:Breast Cancer is the most common cancer in the UK affecting 50
 \,000 women and 300 men every year. Although survival rates are increasing
  32 women still die of breast cancer every day. Despite large fundraising 
 schemes and an intensive research effort this cancer remains extremely dif
 ficult to treat. Hayley Frend (Deoartment of Pathology) will discuss why t
 his is and introduce current research into the disease. She will also disc
 uss the importance of learning about the basic biology of the breast in or
 der to develop better treatments and why she thinks we need to get back to
  basics\n\nCome along for informal science\, drinks and chat. This event i
