DESCRIPTION:Obstruction theories measure the singularities of a moduli spa
 ce\, giving\nrise to notions of virtual dimension\, and virtual numbers of
  points.\n\nBloch defined a semiregularity map on the obstruction space of
  any LCI\nembedding in a smooth scheme. I will indicate how this map is re
 lated to\nthe Goodwillie-Jones Chern character in K-theory. As a consequen
