 o achieve this\, we are harnessing the imagination of all of our staff thr
 ough a social media open innovation process.\n\nGareth Crocker of Amino Co
 mmunications will talk on:\nThe tsunami on 11th April 2012 devastated Thai
 land’s production of components used in production of CE devices. For a 
 set top box manufacturer this forced a search for hard disk drives to secu
 re production and profitability of the business\, but also forced a change
  to new technology with an unexpected impact on software. This talk will s
 ummarise the impact of ‘a simple change of hard drive’ throughout the 
 company\, the impact of a technology change and the tale of the software e
 ngineer who worked through the weekend to fix it.
