esearch Institute (VARI) in 2000 as a Senior Scientific Investigator headi
ng the Laboratory of Cancer Genetics. In 2007\, Prof. Teh was appointed th

boratory\, which serves as a bridge between translational research and cli
nical medicine. In 2010\, he received the STaR award and relocated to Sin
gapore and is currently a full professor. His laboratory focuses on genom
ic studies of cancers common among Asian populations\, using tools such as
high-throughput genomic platforms and correlation studies with clinico-pa
thological information. In the last three years\, his group\, in collabor
ation with others\, has made significant advances in bile duct cancer\, T-
cell lymphoma\, and kidney cancer. Moving forward\, his lab will shift em
phasis to downstream works including transgenic animal modeling\, syntheth
ic lethal screening\, and other functional studies in cancer. Prof. Teh h
