DESCRIPTION:I will report on joint work with Oren Ben-Bassat on a new appr
 oach to analytic geometry. Following the work of Deligne and Toen-Vaquie o
 n geometry\nrelative to a symmetric monoidal category\, we develop geometr
 y relative to the category of Banach spaces. This gives a new approach to 
 analytic geometry in both\nthe Archimedean and non-Archimdean settings. Wo
 rking over the real numbers this gives a new approach to differential geom
 etry as well.
