DESCRIPTION:I will present an overview of the concentration of measure phe
 nomenon\, results and techniques\, starting with Levy's isoperimetric ineq
 uality on the Euclidean sphere and following up with examples in other set
 tings: Gaussian\, discrete etc. I will also sketch some applications such 
 as Dvoretzky's theorem on almost spherical sections of convex bodies and i
 ndicate some links to quantum information. \n
