 nTo inform third/fourth year students about the PhD application process an
 d to encourage first/second year to start thinking about PhDs\, we have in
 vited PhD students to talk about their experiences as well as a speaker fr
 om the Careers Service to give a general outline. The talk will cover PhDs
  in Cambridge Departments\, the Wellcome Trust and LMB programmes\, and th
 e US graduate school system. It will be useful for anyone currently applyi
 ng or planning to apply for PhDs in the future.
