DESCRIPTION:In modern thin film applications such as organic electronics\,
biosensors\, optical coatings and batteries there is a growing demand for
functional layers with particular morphologies\, highly homogeneous surfa
ce topologies\, multilayer structures and desired structure-process proper
ties. The thickness of these layers is in the range of\nMicrometer to Nano
meter with limited acceptance of final film properties. Coating and Drying
affect the resulting functional coating properties in many aspects such a
 s cross profile\, morphology\, adhesion\, life-time and for e.g. organic e
lectronic devices the performance and efficiencies respectively.\nResearch
results on different topics related to this issues and published recently
  ([1] –[5]) will be presented.
