DESCRIPTION:An Euler system is a certain compatible family of
classes in the cohomology of a Galois representati
on\, which plays a key role in relating arithmetic
al properties of the representation to values of t
he associated L-function. Only a few examples of s
uch systems have been constructed to date\, althou
gh they are conjectured to exist in quite general
settings. I will describe a construction of an Eul
er system for the tensor product of the Galois rep
resentations of two modular forms\, and an applica
tion to bounding Selmer groups. This is joint work
with Antonio Lei and David Loeffler.\n\n\n
