DESCRIPTION:I will discuss two unexplored parts of isocurvature parameter
space.\nIn one\, the compensated isocurvature mode (a fluctuation in the c
osmic\nbaryon fraction)\, the usual linear theory observables are hidden\,
and\nthe model remains unconstrained using familiar analyses. Instead\, t
he\nhypothesis can be tested using the CMB trispectrum (put alternatively\
 ,\nusing off-diagonal correlations). After developing the formalism\, I'll
\ndescribe a WMAP search for such an isocurvature mode. I'll then\ndiscuss
the possibility of probing ultra-light axions (ULAs) as a dark\nmatter/da
rk energy candidate\, using CMB anisotropy observables\, the\nmatter power
  spectrum\, and in particular\, the imprint of isocurvature\nin a ULA. I w
ill also spend some time discussing the technical\nchallenges that result
when implementing this possibility in a\nBoltzmann code or a Markov Chain
 analysis.
